About
Bathroom Organization is an informational resource about organizing a bathroom and the things kept in it. The guides explain how to clear out what you do not use, how to give each group of items a fixed place near where it is used, and how to choose shelves, dividers, bins and other organizers that fit the space you have.
Organizing, as the term is used here, comes in a set order: reduce what is in the room, decide where each category lives, and only then add containers. The site is about that process and about the storage a bathroom already has, more than about buying new things.
What the site covers
- Bathroom Organization Basics: where to start, decluttering before organizing, zones based on daily use, common mistakes, and a short routine for keeping a bathroom in order.
- Vanity Organization: deep vanity cabinet shelves, the countertop, the mirror cabinet, and a vanity shared by two or more people.
- Bathroom Drawer Organization: dividers, trays and layout, measuring a drawer before buying organizers, makeup drawers, and deep drawers.
- Under-Sink Organization: working around the pipes, pull-out organizers, storing cleaning supplies, and options for a pedestal sink.
- Bathroom Storage Ideas: open shelves, baskets and bins, towel storage, and storage in the shower and around the tub.
- Small Bathroom Organization: a plan for limited space, vertical storage on walls and doors, and storage for renters that needs no drilling.
- Toiletry Organization: sorting toiletries and storing backups, arranging skincare by routine, and storing hair tools.
- Bathroom Organization Projects: step-by-step projects for a linen closet, a whole bathroom over a weekend, and a guest bathroom.
If you are new to organizing a bathroom, begin with Bathroom Organization for Beginners, then read How to Declutter a Bathroom Before You Organize It, Bathroom Zones: Organizing by Daily Use and Vanity Cabinet Organization. Every guide is listed on the Tutorials page.
What this site is, and what it is not
Bathroom Organization is general information for people organizing a bathroom at home. It is not written by professional organizers, interior designers, plumbers, electricians, or medical or pharmacy professionals, and it claims no professional credentials of any kind.
Nothing on the site is a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who can see your home. Three points apply throughout:
- Medicines. Where and how a medicine is stored always follows its product label or package insert, or the advice of a pharmacist. The site does not give medical or pharmaceutical advice.
- Electrical and plumbing work. Outlets, wiring, pipes, valves and drains are work for qualified professionals. The guides describe organizing around them and never altering them.
- Fixing things to walls. Whether a shelf, a hook or a rack suits a wall, and what it can carry, depends on the product and on the building. The guides defer to the product’s instructions and stated load rating.
How the guides are written
Each guide is general and practical. It explains how to look at the space and at what you own, and then how to decide on a layout. Bathrooms, cabinets and households differ, so the guides describe what to measure and what to check before anything else.
- Products by type, not brand. A guide may mention a drawer divider, a turntable, a handled bin or an over-the-door rack, but it does not name or recommend brands.
- Labels and instructions come first. On safety-sensitive points, such as storing medicines and cleaning products, using adhesive or wall-mounted fixtures, or keeping electrical tools away from water, the guides defer to the product label and the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Links to public agencies. Where a statement about medicines, cosmetics, cleaning products or child safety needs a source, the guide links to the page of a public agency or a recognized safety organization.
- Illustrations, not photos. The images are original illustrations of general ideas. They are not photographs of real rooms or of particular products.
What you can rely on
- We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, statistics or testimonials.
- Sizes and layouts in the guides are starting points. Measure your own drawers, shelves and cabinets before buying an organizer.
- No guide promises that an organizer will fit your bathroom or that a layout will suit your household.
- Where a shelf, a hook or another wall fixing comes up, the guide points you to the manufacturer’s load rating and instructions and states no weight limits of its own.
- Where a medicine, a cosmetic or a cleaning product comes up, the guide points you to the product label and gives no storage times, doses or mixing instructions of its own.
